Join Patchwork Storytellers for an unforgettable evening of storytelling
Love scary stories? We've got 'em! This is a great family event! Ages 6 to adult.
The Ghost Walk: Back from the Dead, sponsored by Chestnut Hill Library Friends, touts 4 time slots on Saturday, October 18—5:30, 6, 6:30, and 7 PM, for a candlelit journey from Chestnut Hill Library, 8711 Germantown Avenue, Philadelphia, PA, to Hilltop Books.
Along the way, participants will enjoy short stories from the imaginations of our mind-bending storytellers: Ingrid Bohn, Denise McCormack, Philip Moore, and Christina Sturgis.
This event is suitable for kids and families—ages 6 and up—with tales becoming increasingly spookier and longer as the evening wears on. Adults looking for spookier stories should sign up for the 7pm slot.

All proceeds support the Chestnut Hill Library.

Ingrid Bohn, an Interactive Theater and Storytelling performance artist, engages audiences through story, song, dance, and poetry. She wields a vast repertoire of stories to suite any age. Performing in PA & NJ, and on the virtual stage, her career spans over a decade. Ingrid's passionate and deliberate delivery style is sure to capture your imagination and heart.
Phil Moore, an Our Mother of Consolation Alumni, is currently a Life and Health Insurance
Broker, specializing in Medicare Plans. A Retired Diplomate in Asian Body Therapy, his stories
draw on many perspectives, offering both inspiration and methodology.
His Grandmother, Anna O'Donnell, is credited with being a great source of inspiration, influence, and local memory for Philip. She ran Kildare Taxi Service from the late 1920's to early seventies, and also worked on staff at various mansions on the Hill which gave her insight into history and flavor of the area..
Chris Sturgis is a multi-talented artist and writer. She has 25 years’ experience as a newspaper reporter, including an exclusive interview with Hillary Clinton. She has appeared in Anything Goes, Barefoot in the Park, You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown, Othello, Paul Sills’ Story Theatre, and the Kaufman and Hart comedy, Once in a Lifetime.
